An equalizer for the backing track

Version 2026.10.28-001 adds an equalizer, faster repeat previews, and finer volume control.

  • Equalizer (Lite and Pro). Ten sliders and ready-made shapes such as Less bass and More treble, for a room that booms or a track that sounds thin. Tap a number to type an exact value. Set a Default for the room, or give one song its own curve and change or remove it later. A list shows every song that has its own curve. Pro can save up to 5 presets of its own. It works during a Break too.
  • Previews that come back fast. The short video previews are kept between sessions, up to a size you choose (250 MB to start) in the Media Cache settings.
  • Finer volume. Volume buttons now move 2% at a time. Turning Save off for a song sends it straight back to the main level.
  • Videos that would not play. If a video file will not open, Jukoke now rebuilds it and plays that copy.
  • Audio track on Restart. Restarting a song keeps the audio track you picked.

Test your screen, sound and songs before the party

Version 2026.10.25-001 adds two quick tests to Get Ready, keeps it up to date by itself, and makes scanning your folders simpler.

  • Test songs. Get Ready tries a sample of real songs from your catalog and shows which step, if any, would stop them playing. Pick a source, or let Auto test them all. Each song it tried shows as OK, Look or Fix, with a note.
  • Screen & sound. A short test clip with a pattern, a clock and music, so you can check the TV, the sound and which speaker is which. Switch screens or sound (both, left, right or off) while it plays, with no restart.
  • Scan and Import together. Scanning your folders now goes through the same review as an imported list, so there is one place to check and approve songs. Songs you already dismissed stay dismissed.
  • A Get Ready button you can read at a glance. On the Dashboard it is always there: green when you are ready, yellow with a number when something needs a look, red with a ! when you are not ready.
  • Your setup. The gear in Get Ready opens a panel where you change what you sing with, and whether you use a second screen or Wi-Fi for guests. Refresh status now tells you it ran.
  • Always up to date. Get Ready now checks itself every few seconds. Stop your online search helper and you see it on the Dashboard button within moments; start it again and the warning clears by itself.
  • Server check. Get Ready also shows whether Jukoke itself is answering, and raises an alarm if it is not.
  • Easier help pages. The info pages in My Collection are shorter. The Test songs panel now fits on a phone.

Simpler plans and a 30-Day Pro Pass

Version 2026.10.23-001 simplifies the plans and the prices.

  • Three plans. Free, Lite and Pro. Free+ and Lite+ are gone; their tools now come with Lite or Pro.
  • Simpler prices. A token is $1. A Lite session is 5 tokens and a Pro session is 10. Packs of 1, 10 and 40 tokens cost $1, $8.50 and $30.
  • 30-Day Pro Pass. $35 for 30 days of free Pro sessions. Buy it in Buy More, activate it when you are ready, and stack more if you like.
  • Free trial. 30 days of the paid plans. Claim it within 30 days of first running Jukoke.
  • Stage name. Guests now pick a stage name and PIN to join.
  • MC playlists. The MC has the same History and Playlist screens as the guests, and they look and work the same on both sides.

A tidier dashboard, a guest panel, and your trial dates

Version 2026.10.17-002 makes the host screens easier to scan.

  • Dashboard. Add Song, Break & Filler, Get Ready and QR Code now sit in a tidy grid under the stats, and Get Ready shows how many checks are left. On a tablet the host screen uses the wider space.
  • Pending songs. Add Song is right there when the queue is empty, and Approve some songs first is easier to find.
  • Guest panel. Tap a guest to see and manage them in one place.
  • Trial dates. The Wallet shows when your free trial started and when it ends.
  • Install ID. About has a Copy button, so sending it to support is one tap.
  • More trial time. If you need it, support can send a single-use code that adds trial days to your installation. It gives no tokens.

A tip jar on every guest’s phone

Show guests how to tip you, without a hand-written sign on the table.

  • Tip jar (Pro). Add your own payment link (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal.me and similar), a QR picture, or text to copy, such as the email or phone for Zelle. Set it up ahead of the party or any time during it.
  • Clear for guests. A Tip button appears on every phone. Each way to tip is its own block with its own name: a button such as “Tip with Venmo”, a small QR to scan from another phone, and a name and Copy button for the text.
  • Your money stays yours. Tips go straight to you. Jukoke takes no fee, handles no payment and does not promise any earnings. It only shows what you choose.
  • You are in charge. It stays as you leave it, so switch it off when the night is over.

Approve some songs first

For the song that turns four minutes into ten.

  • Approve some songs first (Pro). Choose what you want to see before a song joins a guest’s queue: songs shorter than a number of seconds (often a clip or the wrong video), songs longer than a number of minutes (hello, the long version of American Pie), or a guest picking a song they already sang tonight.
  • Nobody waits. A held song shows in your Ask the MC list with its length and the reason, and the guest is told it is waiting. Everyone else’s songs keep playing. Approve it, or send back a reason.
  • Song lengths now show in your queue and in search, with a clock on any song outside your limits.
  • Changed your mind mid-party? Review queue lists the songs already waiting that break your new limits, and holds the ones you confirm.

Get Ready: a guided start, and easier-to-read help text

Getting from install to your first song should not need a manual.

  • Get Ready (NICE-Start). A guided checklist that opens the first time you run Jukoke. Tell it what you have to sing with: song files, your own media, or nothing yet. It then checks your screen, song folders, catalog, online search and Wi-Fi as they are right now, and takes you straight to whatever is left. Skip anything you do not plan to use, and bring it back later. Find it any time under Setup, or on the Dashboard when something needs a look. On every plan.
  • Online search still needs a separate helper program that you choose to set up. It is provided as is, without warranty or support, and Get Ready can test the connection for you.
  • Offline song folders. If a drive is unplugged, a song from it now shows a clear error on the TV and in the Played list, then Jukoke returns to the idle screen and carries on.
  • Easier to read. Hints, instructions and other secondary text are brighter and larger on the host dashboard and on guests’ phones.
  • Song Catalog now shows how many songs it holds at a glance.

Announce, a managed Ask the MC list, and a clearer end of session

More tools for running a busy room.

  • Announce (Pro). Send one short message to every guest’s phone: Song submissions close in 10 minutes, Someone found a wallet. Choose Info, Good news or Urgent, whether guests must tap OK, and whether it also shows on the TV, as a banner across the top that never covers the lyrics.
  • Ask the MC list (Lite and Pro). Waiting and Handled tabs, search, and sorting by oldest, newest or guest. Each request shows the guest’s emoji and name so similar stage names are easy to tell apart. Guests can take a message back before you answer it.
  • Start new session. When a session has run out for good there is nothing left to renew, so the button now says what it does, and shows progress while it works.
  • Your own background picture on guests’ phones is now part of Pro, alongside the TV background. Lite parties keep their title and colors, with a wave background that follows them.
  • Clearer joining. A guest picks a stage name and a 4-digit PIN. The last four digits of a phone number make an easy PIN, but any four digits work.

Easier to join, easier to ask: release 2026.10.08-001

This release is about getting guests singing faster.

  • Two-step join codes. Step 1: Join Wi-Fi and Step 2: Join Jukoke now sit side by side under Party → QR Code / Link, on every plan.
  • Ask the MC (Lite and Pro). Guests send you a private note, you add songs to their own queue and reply with a green, blue or red answer. Badges on Dashboard and Live Guests show what is waiting.
  • Ask MC is available on phones and on desktop browsers, and notes can use any language.
  • Roomier Now Playing controls so the stats card stays on screen when Hold is shown.
