Privacy

The short version

Guests who join a party are not asked for an account, a name or an email address. A guest picks a stage name and a 4-digit PIN, which lets Jukoke recognize them next time. We suggest the last four digits of their phone number because they are easy to remember, but nothing checks the PIN, any four digits work, and Jukoke never asks for a full phone number. Jukoke runs on the host’s own computer, and party data such as songs, stage names and history stays there.

What the software sends to us

Jukoke contacts our server only for wallet and licensing functions: redeeming a code, checking and syncing your token balance, and starting or extending a paid session. For this it sends an anonymous installation identifier along with the code or request. Nothing about your guests or your songs is part of those requests.

If you choose Report an Issue, the report you send, and any diagnostic details it includes, are sent to us so we can help you.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your card number. When you buy Play Tokens we receive the email address you used and details of the order so we can send your redeem code and help if something goes wrong. See Stripe’s privacy policy for how Stripe handles your payment information.

This website

This website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. The site is hosted by GitHub Pages, and downloads are served from GitHub; those services may keep ordinary server logs such as IP addresses.

We measure page views and clicks on the download buttons with Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service that doesn’t use cookies or track you across sites. We also see how many times each download has been fetched, as counted by GitHub.

If you send a message with the form on the Support page, your email address, topic and message are passed to Web3Forms, a form-delivery service, which emails them to us. We use them only to reply.
